A few ground rules

Kai Moves is a walking companion for everyday use. It is currently being prepared for release on iPhone.

Use your judgment outside

Steps, distances, pace, remaining-goal suggestions and route predictions are informational. Kai Moves does not provide medical advice, a health diagnosis, emergency assistance or a guarantee of fitness results. Choose activity suitable for your circumstances.

Check the route and local conditions yourself. A map may not reflect closures, private property, unsafe crossings, accessibility barriers or changes on the ground. Follow signs and local rules, stay aware of traffic, and stop using the screen when it distracts from walking safely.

Measured data and estimates

Measured iPhone steps depend on device sensors, permission, whether you carry the phone and iOS availability. Planned steps and time are estimates based on route distance and available personal calibration. GPS and mapping data have limitations. The app cannot guarantee exact step counts, exact arrival times or uninterrupted recordings.

iOS controls background execution and notification delivery. An optional reminder is not a promise of an immediate, always-on alert when you reach a goal. New Apple Maps content and directions may need an internet connection.

Free access

Free includes daily steps, a personal goal, locally observed daily history, basic reminders, viewing existing records and three successfully saved map-recorded walks in total. This is not a periodic allowance. A discarded recording or failed save does not use the allowance. Deleting a saved walk does not restore it. Further mapped recordings require Pro after those three successful saves.

Pro and initial prices

All Pro purchase options unlock unlimited map-recorded walks, ongoing calibration, advanced route planning and editing, and saved future walks with estimated steps. Initial US prices are $1.99 per week, $4.99 per month, or a one-time $19.99 lifetime purchase. Prices are in US dollars; Apple’s purchase sheet shows final localized prices and applicable terms before you buy.

Weekly and monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple account. Payment and subscription management are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings. Refund requests follow Apple’s applicable processes and policies.

Lifetime access is a one-time purchase for current Pro features. It does not guarantee that Kai Moves, future unrelated features, or Apple’s external services will continue forever. When a subscription expires, existing personal walks remain available to view, while new Pro operations require active access. Restore purchases is available for eligible Apple purchases.

Local data is your responsibility

Kai Moves has no account, developer-operated cloud backup or automatic sync. Personal walking data is excluded from device and iCloud backups. Deleting the app or losing the phone may lose the history. Read the privacy page before relying on the app as an archive.

Availability and changes

The App Store listing, final availability and supported features will be confirmed at launch. These prelaunch terms may be updated before release. Apple’s standard licensed application terms and applicable consumer law may also apply. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
